Solar String Lights Comparison

When setting up outdoor holiday lighting, the core decision comes down to whether you need sheer distance or fancy light effects. The Mirabella 600 LED set ($39) gives you a massive 41.9 metres of lit length, whereas Lytworx offers 500 LEDs across 24.9 metres for $25 with eight display modes. Anko sits between them at $30 with extensive pattern choices but conflicting overall length dimensions in its store details.

Distance matters when decorating fences and roofs

Mirabella takes a clear lead for long outdoor runs, providing 600 LEDs along 41.9 metres of lit wire. If you need to span a back boundary fence or wrap a long veranda in one go, paying $39 avoids stringing multiple short packs together. Lytworx covers 24.9 metres with 500 LEDs, which is plenty for standard deck railings, shrubs, or entertaining areas without coiling excess cable.

Anko also supplies 500 LEDs, but its product listing states an overall size of approximately 3.99 metres alongside an 8cm bulb spacing. Because 500 bulbs spaced 8cm apart mathematically spans significantly further than four metres, verify the physical cord length in-store before planning a long fence run.

Light modes and daily convenience

If you want animated displays rather than basic illumination, Lytworx and Anko offer far more flexibility than Mirabella. Mirabella restricts you to steady or flashing options, whereas Lytworx provides eight modes—including twinkle and slow fade—plus a memory hold function that remembers your setting night after night. Anko packs in even more sequence combinations, supported by a solar panel and three rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries.

Value and storage after the holidays

At $25, Lytworx is AUD 14.00 less (35.9% cheaper) than Mirabella and AUD 5.00 less (16.7% cheaper) than Anko at $30. Lytworx packs those savings into a complete kit that includes a dedicated storage bucket to keep wires tangle-free when packed away. Mirabella also includes a tub for its extra $14 cost, which is a fair compromise given you gain 17 additional metres of lit length.
